Hans Knoll. "El Chaco como destino de la colonización alemana: acerca del
trasfondo de la política migratoria alemana durante la República de Weimar"
(Chaco as the Destination of German Colonization: the Background of the Ger-
man Migration Policy during the Weimar Republic) After World War I, due to the
intensification of the cotton production, the area of the Argentine Chaco experi-
enced an extraordinary economic growth. A great number of German colonizers
participated in this economic boom. With the consent of the Argentine govern-
ment, they were systematically directed by German authorities to the Chaco area,
especially to state-owned lands. At the same time, the German government
sought to call the attention of the German cotton industry towards the Chaco, in
order to ensure the colonizers’ sales as well as the Argentine cotton supply for
Germany. Based primarily on German historical archives and German-Argentine
press reports, this article aims at shedding light on this important chapter in the
German-Argentine immigration history during the interwar period.

Natalia Lobo. "La historia de Colonia Liebig y su cooperativa agrícola" (The Story
of Colonia Liebig and its Agricultural Cooperative). The Agricultural Cooperative
Colonia Liebig is an association of families in its fourth generation. When visiting
the current facilities of the Cooperative and the town of Colonia Liebig, it is hard
to imagine this project was almost doomed to fail.
Based on various interviews and sources, this article rebuilds the chequered
origins of Colonia Liebig and the story of its agricultural cooperative. It aims at
describing how a group of German colonizers living in poverty could build and
sustain the today successful cooperative that was born in 1926 as the only solu-
tion to the poor living conditions they were immersed in at that time.

Regula Rohland de Langbehn. "Folletos peronistas. Edición alemana" (Peronist
leaflets, an edition in German). In this article is firstly observed, where the items to
which the dossier is dedicated are located, and that at this moment in Argentina there
is a great interest in investigating about the early period of Peronism. Then, the pro-
paganda leaflets are compared to a series of the last years of the 19th Century, which
was published in Argentina in order to help immigration agents in Europe with detai-
led informations. Although the leaflets of peronism are thought in perspective of the
President and his wife Eva Perón, they are instructive ande historically valid indoctri-
nation materials. Finally, the question is roused whether these publications may have
been thought in order to attract immigration from Germany, empoverished after the
Second World War to Argentina, with its booming economy in those years.

nistas en alemán" (Catalogue of peronist leaflets in Geman). The catalogue of
peronist publications, to which the dossier is dedicated, indicates the titels, biblio-
graphic data, the size and in some cases a brief commentary, and finalley the
ubication and the title in spanish. A brief introduction refers to groupings of some
of the publications in series.
